Doris M. Andrews, Writer, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in authorship.




A widely-traveled military wife, Doris M. Andrews has myriad experiences abroad on which to draw as an author. She lived with her husband in West Germany and, as an alert warden, was in charge of ensuring the safety of 18 American families during the Cold War, a task which entailed practicing a response to a surprise attack by the Russians. She also served as president of a social affairs club, which aimed to help the underprivileged in America. Fluent in several languages, Ms. Andrews served on President Clinton's Steering Committee for the State of New Jersey. She has written a number of articles and commentaries, always colored by personal observations and peopled by the interesting characters that she encountered in 70 years of circling the globe. She looks forward to immortalizing these same observations and characters in her autobiography, which she is currently writing.




Committed to community service, Ms. Andrews is the founder of Club Tanya, a center for young women aged 16 to 20 in the Philadelphia area. She is also the founder of the Little Folks Learning Center and various local organizations. Ms. Andrews holds a bachelor's degree in adult and continuing education.
