The Town Musicians of Bremen will be staged at Barcelona's Gran Teatre del Liceu next month as part of the venue's school and family season.
It is a musical adaptation of the classic Brothers Grimm folktale about a quartet of animals who use their cunning to outfox a group of humans.
With colourful costumes and entertaining dance numbers, the performance offers its young audiences a whirlwind story filled with daring, while also showing the importance of unity among friends.
By the end, both parents and children will no doubt be cheering as the donkey, dog, cat and rooster celebrate their success in beating their cruel owners.
Families can enjoy this charming tale on March 20th and 27th 2011, although it is being performed numerous times for local schools in the area.
Tickets for The Town Musicians of Bremen cost EUR11 (GBP9.35) and are available online and at the box office.
The performance begins at 12:00 local time on both days and lasts about 55 minutes.
