The project, developed by Spanish company Virtway is a 3D interactive recreation of the most representative centers of the Ministry of Science and Innovation, such as the National Museum of Science and Technology in A Coruna, that opens its doors later this year.
This application, which is already available on the website of the Ministry http://virtual.micinn.es , may also be downloaded for free on the Apple's AppStore.
The user may, for example, visit the inside of the Gran Telescopio in the Canary Islands and learn about the studies of black holes, stars, the Big Ban or accompany scientists of ALBA Synchrotron for the electron acceleration with experimental purposes.
You can walk freely through different recreated scenarios, consulting information, accessing videos and talking with the avatars specialized in scientific environment. This way you feel you've been visiting places that had never been accessible before, you feel you become a participant of the important research.
Given its innovative nature, the Ministry decided to bet on this interactive 3D technology, providing a user with an extremely avangarde feeling.
Another project created with this technology is Vendome (Lite). It is an amazing recreation of Vendome district in Paris where you can find the best luxury brands in the world and shop online.
Today Virtway has the first platform for creating 3D virtual worlds in a few weeks that allows interaction between users of iPhone/iPad and PC. The software technology is 100% developed by Spanish company Virtway and is strong and worthy competitor in power and performance with world leaders in 3D technology for mobile and PC.
